Alden "Bill" Nelson

Alden "Bill" Nelson, of Montevideo, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 83.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 9, 2026 from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 1:30 PM.

Alden “Bill” Nelson was born June 20, 1942, in Montevideo, Minnesota. His parents were Manford Nelson and Agnes (Boettcher) Nelson. He grew up in the Montevideo area and spent most of his life there.

Bill worked for Ungers Furniture, delivering furniture, and later for Flinn’s Salvage as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything involving the outdoors.

Bill is survived by his sisters, Catherine Notch of Montevideo and Fran Dahlager of Willmar; brothers Selmer (Kelly) Gimmestad of Willmar, and Mike Gimmestad of St. Peter; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
