Alfred Christenson, formerly of Montevideo, died on Tuesday, June 1, 1999 at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago at the age of 64.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 7, 1999 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Alfred L. Christenson, Jr. was born on July 7, 1934 in Montevideo, MN to Alfred C. and Hilda (Johnson) Christenson. He grew up in the Montevideo area and attended Montevideo Schools. As a young man he moved to Illinois, where he worked for a gunite construction company, before becoming ill a short time ago. He was currently living in Lockport, IL. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.
He is survived by grandchildren - Frank Rennhak and Sandy Rennhak of Chicago, IL; 3 brothers - Clifford (Alice) Christenson of Wausau, WI; Verde Christenson of Brooklyn Park, MN and Dennis (Cheryl) Christenson of Montevideo; by a sister - Audrey Angrimson of Montevideo; a special friend - Dorothy Andrews and her family of Lockport, IL; a special family - the Widner family of Chicago, IL as well as by a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by 4 brothers - Juleen, Harris, Albie and Verde Christenson.
