Anne Ellefson

Anne Ellefson died Friday, August 22, 2025 at Johnson Memorial Home in Dawson at the age of 87.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Rev. Kendall Stelter will officiate and interment will be at Grace Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.

Anne Louise (Winge) Ellefson was born November 6, 1937 in Dawson, MN the daughter of Morrill and Gladys (Bloom) Winge. She graduated from Dawson High School in 1955. After graduation, she moved to California where she worked for an insurance company. Anne was united in marriage with Bennie Munoz in 1969 in Santa Barbara. She moved back to Dawson in 1980. Anne was united in marriage with Roger Ellefson December 12, 1987 in Santa Barbara, CA. Anne worked at the Dawson Library from 1991 until retiring in 2011. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, knitting, baking lefse, reading, walking and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue (Amy) Munoz of Denver, CO; step-children: Lisa Ellefson and Jeff (Sherri) Ellefson; a sister, Cindy Gibbons; sister-in-law, Patsy Winge; step daughter-in-law, Audrey Ellefson; and extended family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Roger; a sister, Patty (Al) Dahl; two brothers: Mike and Mark; a step-son, Roger "Punk", and a step-daughter, Jauna.
