Arnold Siverhus, 83, of rural Maynard, died May 23, 1998 at his home in Leenthrop Township.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 26, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. at Saron Lutheran Church, rural Maynard. Rev. Steve Rheingans will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Monday from 3-8:00 P.M. at Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. There will also be visitation at the church for one hour before services on Tuesday.
Arnold Meyer Siverhus was born September 23, 1914 in Leenthrop Township, Chippewa County, MN the son of Martin and Emma (Sachariason) Siverhus. He was baptized in Maynard and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church. He was united in marriage with Cynthia Lamp June 20, 1940 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. They made their home and farmed in Leenthrop Township. Arnold enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with family.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; four children: Sonja Peterson and her husband Kenneth of Granite Falls, MN, Ronald Siverhus and his wife Susan of Maynard, MN, Karleen Williamson and her husband Thomas of Maynard, MN, and Donald Siverhus and his wife Carol Montevideo, MN; 13 grandchildren: Barry, Terry, Kevin, Jon, Andrew, Troy, Pamela, Tracy, Tami, Kjersti, Shalesha, Tesa, and Tracy; 13 great-grandchildren: Kristina, John, Zachary, Nicholas, Abigail, Devon, Weston, Dane, Kelly, Kylie, Ali, Shayne, and Jebben; two brothers: Iver and Carol Siverhus of Montevideo, MN and Oral and Verna Siverhus of Montevideo, MN; and one sister, Miranda and William Lauritsen of Montevideo, MN.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one great-granddaughter, Roselyn Peterson.
