Brian Thunstedt, 45, of Willmar, Minnesota, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Appleton, Minnesota, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Wergeland Cemetery in Porter, Minnesota. Brian Todd Thunstedt was born October 8, 1980, in Willmar, Minnesota, the son of Bruce and Betty (Christianson) Thunstedt. He was baptized on December 14, 1980, at Eagle Lake Lutheran Church in Willmar. Brian attended school in Willmar and received his GED. He worked in the restaurant industry as a dishwasher. Brian was involved in The Fortress in Willmar and Second Harvest Church in Willmar. He enjoyed playing pool and collecting baseball cards.

Brian is survived by his children: Alexus (Jay) Nguema of Roseville, MN, Isaiah Windorski of Fargo, ND, Ethan Windorski of Fargo, ND, Elijah Windorski of Brainerd, MN, McKayla Thunstedt of Bird Island, MN, Mariyah Thunstedt of Bird Island, and Brian Thunstedt, Jr. of Bird Island; granddaughter Alayah Nguema; mother Betty Chavarria; father Bruce Thunstedt; brother Bradley (Robyn) Thunstedt of Willmar, sister Shannon (Jay) Dunks of Bird Island; nephews Ashton Dunks and Jaden Olsen; nieces Abigail (Jessie Engler) Betker and Emma Thunstedt; and godmother Ruby Lokken. He was preceded in death by his stepdad Candelario Chavarria; uncles Barry Lokken and Edward Christianson; and aunt Barbara (Troy) Walton.
