Carol Hadrath of Montevideo died on Saturday, December 6th, 2025 at St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 83.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a memorial prayer service to begin at 3:00PM.
Carol Diane Hadrath was born in Montevideo on October 14, 1942, the daughter of Bennie and Evelyn (Kuehn) Wig, and later Orien Docken. In 1949, the family moved to the Nelson and Evansville area, returning to Montevideo in 1959. Carol graduated from Montevideo High School in 1960. Following graduation, she attended the Faribault School of Practical Nursing, earning her LPN degree in 1961.
On May 6, 1962, she was united in marriage to Ronald Hadrath at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Together, they raised four children: Rona, Jan, Terry, and Randy. Carol worked in healthcare as an LPN at the Montevideo Hospital and Luther Haven, some daycare, a teacher’s assistant at Ramsey School, Gary’s Red Owl, Innovex, and as a health care aid at Copper Glen before retirement in 2006. Her caring nature touched many.
Carol was a devoted member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, and in her early years, served as a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed visiting over coffee with friends and neighbors, and her family remembers her as the “glue,” always keeping in touch with loved ones. She was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and cherished attending many football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, swimming, hockey, dancing, cheerleading, and musical events.
Carol is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children: Rona (Dave) Bristle of Maynard, MN, Jan (Richard) Enevoldsen of Montevideo, Terry Hadrath of Eau Claire, WI, and Randy (Denise) Hadrath of Kasson, MN; eight grandchildren: Ashley (Derick) Sweno, Casey Enevoldsen, Jaimee Enevoldsen, Colten (Ashley) Bristle, Braden Bristle, Daniel Hadrath (special friend Reilly Albert), Marcus Hadrath, and Landon Hadrath; great-grandchildren: Brooke Sweno, Devin Sweno, Collin Sweno, Carson Bristle, and a baby girl Bristle due in March. She is also survived by her brother, Byran (Mary) Wig of Elko, MN, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, grand "furbabies" and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Bennie Wig and Evelyn Docken; step-father: Orien Docken; and sister, Audrey Arends.
