Catherine Bendickson of Montevideo, died on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo at the age of 87. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at the Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Matt Philaya officiating. Interment will be in Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Catherine Bendickson was born on February 11, 1934 in Bridgeton, New Jersey to John and Catherine (Sharp) Hill. She grew up and lived in the Philadelphia area before moving to Minnesota about thirty-five years ago. She was united in marriage to Floyd Bendickson on February 14, 1998 at Salem Lutheran Church. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo and enjoyed quilt making, knitting and family time.
She is survived by three sons: John Hill in Germany, David Hill of Blackwood, New Jersey and James Hill of Mullica Hills, New Jersey; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; four step-children: Chuck (Linda) Bendickson and Darlene Ulven, both of Montevideo and Ronnie Bendickson and Ruth Butterfield, both of Minot, North Dakota; numerous step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Edith Hughes of Millville, New Jersey.
Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Floyd, and by two brothers and a sister.
