Corey Lee Ervin

Corey Ervin, of Maynard, died on Saturday, November 28, 1998 as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 21.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 2, 1998 at 10:30 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City with Rev. Mary Hovland, Rev. Nathan Thompson,  Rev. Bradley Barr, and Rev. Brian Johnson officiating.

Visitation will be after 3:00 PM Tuesday  with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Corey Lee Ervin was born on August 19, 1977 in Montevideo, MN to Barry and Ann (Bonadeo) Ervin.  He was baptized at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo and was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City.  He attended MACCRAY High school, graduating in 1995.  While in high school he played football, basketball and was a member of the National Honor Society.  He was currently a senior at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, where he had played football as a freshman and was a member of Phi Alpha fraternity. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed the outdoors, especially golfing.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Hovda and her husband David of Maynard, MN; his father, Barry Ervin and his wife Michelle of Shorewood, MN; one sister, Kristina; two half sisters: Katherine Hovda and Sherry Hub; one step-brother, James Dedon; one step-sister, Emillie Dedon; and grandparents:  Howard and Shirley Ervin of Maynard, MN and Henry and Vivian Bonadeo of Tarpon Springs, FL.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents.
