Curtis Angrimson, of Montevideo, died on Monday, August 1, 2005 at the Chippewa Co - Montevideo Hospital at the age of 78.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with Rev. Donald McKee officiating. Interment will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening and with the family from 6 - 7 P.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.
Curtis Dean Angrimson was born on July 18, 1927 in Big Bend Township of Chippewa Co., MN to Knute and Tilly (Kittelson) Angrimson. He was baptized in September, 1927 and confirmed in June, 1940, both at Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Watson, MN. He attended Milan public schools and later served in the US Army Air Force. On September 2, 1950 he was united in marriage to Shirley Ervin in Montevideo. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Tostensons for many years before retiring. He had lived for the past 6 years at Parkview Towers and for the past 3 months had been a resident at the Luther Haven Nursing Home. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and music, especially country-western.
He is survived by 3 children: Dwight Angrimson and his wife Faye of Taunton, MN; Colleen Redel and her husband Lon of Montevideo and Lynn Rodeberg and her husband Marc of Montevideo; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; a brother, Donald Angrimson; 2 sisters: Fern Larson of Montevideo and Nancy Kirschbaum of Seattle, WA; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Arthur, Loren and Dennis Angrimson and by 2 sisters: Hilda Klepel and Beatrice Angrimson.
