Dale Edward Rosemeier, 66, of New London, died on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at the Mother of Mercy assisted living in Albany, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 4, with a Rosary at 7:30 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. Visitation will continue on Friday, June 5, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Dale Edward Rosemeier was born on January 26, 1960, the son of Merlin and Ramona (Traxler) Rosemeier in Benson, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock, Minnesota. Dale attended school in Murdock and was a member of the first graduating class of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg High School.
Dale married Kim Marie Petrick on June 2, 1979, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. They made their home in Murdock and raised five children: Steven, Elizabeth, Anne, Matthew, and Patrick.
Dale began his working life farming and later spent more than 15 years with Double J Concrete and Masonry, where he worked as a mason and foreman. He especially enjoyed traveling on the road with Kim. He was one of the hardest-working men many knew.
More than anything, Dale loved to be around people. He was known for his warm hugs, shoulder squeezes, and his ability to make everyone feel important. Whether family, friend, coworker, or stranger, everyone felt like they were Dale's best friend, because they were. He had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. He was truly one of a kind.
Dale enjoyed spending time outdoors, cheating at cards, sharing stories, playing games with his grandchildren, and creating memories with those he loved. His humor, kindness, and generous spirit brought laughter and comfort to countless people throughout his life. He taught those around him the value of hard work, humility, loyalty, and simply showing up for others.
Dale died on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Mother of Mercy in Albany, Minnesota, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. He was 66 years old.
Dale is survived by his wife, Kim Rosemeier of New London; children: Steven (Laura) Rosemeier of Rogers, Elizabeth (Tom) Sult of New London, Anne Rosemeier (Craig Syverson) of Cold Spring, Matthew (Jennifer) Rosemeier of Spicer, and Patrick (Kelsey) Rosemeier of Willmar; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings: Joseph Rosemeier of Murdock, Gerard (Nancy) Rosemeier of New Prague, Thomas (Dorothy) Rosemeier of DeGraff, Charles (Barbara) Rosemeier of Buckner, Missouri, Albert (Michele) Rosemeier of Murdock, Timothy (Rose) Rosemeier of Ham Lake, Mary Catherine Rosemeier of New London, and Tony (Charlotte) Rosemeier of DeGraff; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merlin and Ramona Rosemeier; sister-in-law, Constance Rosemeier; father-in-law, David Parks; and numerous grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
Dale's legacy lives on in the family he cherished, the friends he loved, and the countless lives he touched through simple acts of kindness, unwavering generosity, and genuine care. The world is better because he was here.
