Deborah Lanthier, of Dawson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson at the age of 64.
Memorial services will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Pastor Kendall Stelter will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson with a prayer service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to CentraCare Hospice or Lac qui Parle Hope Network.

Deborah Denise Hofmann was born June 6, 1958 in Dawson, MN to Gene and Janice (Lund) Hofmann and was baptized on the same day. Being born prematurely, she was a survivor from the start. Deb was confirmed at Grace Lutheran church in 1973. She attended and graduated from Dawson-Boyd High School in 1976. After high school Deb attended Mankato State University where she graduated with a teaching degree. She took a job in Fairview, MT and continued her education at Western Montana University. Deb met Michael Lanthier in February of 1996, and they were married on December 28, 1996.
Deb had a deep passion for working with children. She would take any opportunity she possibly could to teach and mentor. Most of all Deb enjoyed spending time with her family. Deb had a great love for her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She showed them her passions and instituted their love for reading.
Deb is survived by her husband, Mike; parents, Gene and Janice Hofmann; siblings, Cindy (Mark) Craigmile of Davenport, FL, Jim (Toni) Hofmann of Dawson, and Dori Hofmann of Dawson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sue Sagert, Janie (Mark) Patterson, and Ernie (Jen) Lanthier; and many nieces, nephews extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ambrose and Edna Lund, and Roy and Florence Hofmann; aunts, Wendy Hofmann and Elaine Rimstad; brothers-in-law, Ray Lanthier, and Allen Sagert; and mother and father-in-law, F.R. (Swede) and Lyla Lanthier.
Deb was an inspiration to many and will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
