Delores "Dee" Anderson passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at the Clara City Care Center in Clara City at the age of 87.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls with Father Zachary Peterson as Celebrant. Burial will follow the Mass at East Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church Cemetery in Hanley Falls. All are invited to lunch following the burial at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church in Hanley Falls.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Granite Falls. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Delores "Dee" Anderson was born on February 21, 1939, in Delano, Minnesota, to Leo and Agnes (Mross) Gallus. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano. Dee attended Delano High School, graduating with the Class of 1957. Following high school, she attended St. Cloud State University, where she earned a degree in Business Education. Her first job out of college was teaching at Hanley Falls School. She later joined Minnesota West, where she taught Business for more than 26 years.
Dee was united in marriage to Allen Anderson on December 28, 1963, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano. Together they made their home in Hanley Falls, where they raised their two children, Lori and Lee.
Dee was an active member of the Catholic Church in Cottonwood and later St. Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls. She served on the Council of Catholic Women for many years. Dee also served on the Hanley Falls City Council for 16 years and was a member of the Hanley Falls Senior Citizens organization. She enjoyed embroidering, playing cards—especially pinochle—and quilting with the "Lutheran ladies."
Dee is survived by her children, Lori (Tim) Clarine of Brainerd, Minnesota, and Lee (Jamie) Anderson of Glenwood, Minnesota; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her special fur baby, Willie; and many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Allen; her brother, Leo (Colleen) Gallus; her sister, Mary Ann (Archie) Kuka; and her infant brother, Clement.
