Dennis Arnold Rustad, 72, died on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, Minnesota. Arrangements are pending with the Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
Dennis Arnold Rustad was born on January 11, 1954, in Morris, Minnesota, the son of Sidney Arnold and Donna Mae Swenson Rustad. He grew up on the family farm near Clontarf, Minnesota and he was baptized on March 7, 1954, at West Zion Lutheran Church and he was confirmed on June 22, 1969, at West Zion Lutheran Church. He graduated from Benson High School the attended one year of College at the University of Minnesota-Morris. On October 3, 1981, Dennis was united in marriage to Susan Kim Hanson at West Zion Lutheran Church near Hancock, Minnesota. This union was blessed with over 44 years of marriage and two children, Adam and Amy. Following in the footsteps of his father Sidney, Dennis dedicated his life to farming for over 53 years. Dennis was a lifelong member of West Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and acting. Dennis was always delighted to share a joke or a funny story. He loved spending time with his family and his friends. Dennis was called from this life on Sunday evening, March 8, 2026, at the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood, Minnesota. Dennis is survived by his wife Susan of Clontarf; his children Adam of Clontarf and Amy (Rustad) Schweitzer of San Francisco, California; his siblings Jeannie (Harley) Vestrum of Alexandria, John (Charlotte) Rustad of Clontarf, and Nancy (Darrell) Stewart of Alexandria; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney and Donna Mae Rustad. Blessed be his memory.
