Dianne Gjerset, of St. Cloud, died on Monday, December 27, 2004 at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 62.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 1:30 PM at the Watson Lutheran Church in Watson with Rev. Larry Olson officiating. Interment will be in the Milan Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
Dianne Marie (Olson) Gjerset was born on February 5, 1942 in Montevideo, MN to Arthur W. and Ada “Shelly” (Shelstad) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at the Milan Methodist Church and graduated from Milan High School in 1960. On August 17, 1963 she was united in marriage to Douglas Gjerset at the Milan Methodist Church. In 1974 she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota at Morris. She worked as a secretary in several University settings. She and Douglas lived in a variety of places including Cambridge, MA, Champaign, IL, Hoffman, MN and were currently living in St. Cloud, MN. She enjoyed painting water colors, gardening, decorating, needlework, reading and especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas; two daughters: Kristin Gjerset and her husband Corey Hurlbut of Brooklyn Park, MN and Karin Gjerset of Minnetonka, MN; two grandchildren: Taya and Chloe Hurlbut; her mother, Ada Olson of Montevideo, MN; two sisters: Barbara Lillemoe of Austin, MN and Nancy King and her husband Sheldon of Brookings, SD; as well as by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and by her father in 1994.
