Diane Kay (Fjerkenstad) Seefeld was born on August 26, 1948, in Dawson, Minnesota, to Palmer and Lucille (Danielson) Fjerkenstad. She graduated from Dawson High School in 1966. On June 17, 1966, Diane was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Roger Seefeld, with whom she shared 60 years of marriage and raised three children. They made their home in Dawson, where she worked as an EMT and at Johnson Memorial Care Center, first as a Certified Nursing Assistant and then later as an Activity Assistant until her retirement.

In her free time, Diane loved spending time with her family, tending her flower gardens, and watching the birds that visited her yard. She had a kind and generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Diane was active in her community and found joy in caring for others, both in her work and in her daily life. She had a special love for animals, and many remember the smiles she brought by taking her beloved dog, Dusty, to visit residents while working in activities at Johnson Memorial Care Center. Above all, Diane treasured her family. She adored her grandchildren and never hesitated to join in their adventures whether it meant playing games, dressing up in costumes, or simply sharing a quiet cuddle. Her warmth, compassion, playful spirit, and unconditional love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roger; three children: Angela (Paul Luitjens) Seefeld of Rosemount, Minnesota; Dean Seefeld of Dawson; and Heidi (Kevin) McMurphy of Lakeville, Minnesota; three grandchildren: London Seefeld, Hayden McMurphy, and Brooklyn Luitjens; as well as extended family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer Fjerkenstad and Lucille Fjerkenstad Bjerstad; her sister, Eleanor Weber; and her brother, Roger (Lois) Fjerkenstad.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Activities department at Johnson Memorial Care Center.
