Donald Hallaway died on August 8, 2026 at the Appleton Care Center at the age of 85.
Private services were held. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Appleton.
Donald Herbert Hallawy Sr. was born in Holloway, MN September 9, 1940 to Herbert and Ella (Hagen) Hallaway. He attended school in Appleton, MN. He worked as a truck driver in the Twin Cities for many years. He married Corrine Olson in Milbank, SD and were married for over 19 years before Corrine died in 2015. Donald enjoyed outdoor activities especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his dog.
Donald is survived by his children: Lori (Greg) Rasmussen, Ham Lake, MN, Jodi (Matthew) Kraskey, Blaine, MN, Donald (Stacie) Hallaway, Jr., Ham Lake, MN; eight grandchildren; brother: Dale (Kathy) “Shorty” Hallaway and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Corrine; siblings: Gary Hallaway, Jeanette Witte, and Karen Schlieman.
