Dylan German, of Montevideo, MN, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital at the age of 31.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 2, at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo, with Pastor Sam Kautz officiating.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, at Anderson – TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo, with a prayer service beginning at 5:45 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
Dylan James German was born on November 22, 1994, to Jeff German and Jill German in Shakopee, MN. He was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Montevideo. He attended Montevideo High School before entering the workforce. Over the years, Dylan held various jobs, and most recently was employed as a cashier at the downtown Casey’s in Montevideo.
Dylan had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. Whether it was the river, a lake, or any other body of water, he was happiest with a pole in his hand. He also enjoyed the process of cleaning, cooking, and eating his catch — something he did well and often. Dylan also enjoyed helping his brother, Dustin, eating pickles, and spending time with his dog, Nova.
He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help and never judged others for what they were going through. Above all, Dylan will be remembered for his one-of-a-kind personality and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his parents, Jill German (special friend Carter Lokken) of Watson and Jeff German of Fairbault; siblings, Dustin (Alexis) German and Samantha German; half-siblings, Lucas German, Ryan German, and Reese German; aunts and uncles, Jan (Jim) Bothun, Jodi (Troy) Blankenhagen, Carmen Weckwerth, Rex (Linda) Hodge, and Tami (Jim) Bittner, Scott German, and Tracey Athey; nieces, Avery, Alivia, and Alex; special friend, Amanda Ronholdt; as well as numerous cousins and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his sibling, Patricia German; grandparents, Deanna and Weldon Hodge, Katie and Don Versaevel, and Patricia and Kenneth German; and cousins, Megan Bothun and Amber Bothun.
