Edward Dessonville was born July 3, 1897 in Geneseo, IL the son of Theo and Ida (Van De Woestyne) Dessonville. At the age of 12, he and his parents, four brothers and four sisters moved to Wessington, SD. He was united in marriage with Thelma Wirt November 29, 1921. Edward farmed at Wessington, Garden City and Watertown, SD, Winamac, IN, Panora, IA, and Madison, MN. He was a Mason for 60 years.
He is survived by one daughter, Angie Johnson of Atlanta, GA; two sons: Norman and his wife Margie of Watertown, SD and Forrest and his wife AnnaMae of Madison, MN; two brothers: Wilson and Fred of Miller, SD; 11 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Thelma; one son, Merlyn; one grandson; four sisters; and two brothers.
Edward Dessonville died January 6, 1997 at the Madison Lutheran Home at the age of 99. May his memory be blessed.
