Elsie Marie Christenson

Elsie Christenson, of rural Milan, died on March 1, 2003 at her home at the age of 85.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Madison Lutheran Home Chapel.  Rev. Wayne Anderson will officiate.

Elsie Marie Christenson was born on August 13, 1917 in Milan, MN to Ludwig and Helen (Johanson) Christenson.  She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Watson, MN, attended Elementary School in District 50 and graduated from Milan High School.  She worked in Minneapolis for several years before returning and living in the Milan area.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and when it closed she became a member of Kviteseid Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed cats and keeping scrapbooks on community activities.

She is survived by a sister, Lila Strand of Milan; a nephew, John Strand of Madison, MN; as well as by several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ralph Christenson and by a sister, Evelyn Christenson.
