Hallie Helgeson died on July 20, 2025 in Madison, WI at the age of 18.

A Celebration of Life for Hallie will be held at 10:30am on Monday, July 28th, 2025 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo with burial at Strombeck Cemetery rural Montevideo.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7PM on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Monday.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Hallie Helgeson Memorial Scholarship through Minnwest Bank in Montevideo.

Hallie Jo Helgeson was born on August 1, 2006, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Joseph and Alyson (Luebke) Helgeson. She was baptized on October 22, 2006, and confirmed on April 24, 2022, at Salem Lutheran Church in Montevideo.

Hallie attended Montevideo High School, where she graduated in May 2025. A dedicated and spirited student, she was involved in numerous activities and excelled both academically and athletically. She was a proud three-sport athlete, participating in tennis, basketball, and softball. Hallie was recognized for her contributions with the Hawk Pride Award in softball, and during her senior year, she received the Coaches’ Award in tennis. Her teammates will remember her as a reliable source of leadership, encouragement, positivity, and laughter.

In addition to her athletic achievements, Hallie was a member of the National Honor Society, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence and community involvement, helping organize Hawks for Heroes for the year 2025. She had planned to continue her education in the fall of 2025 at Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, South Dakota, pursuing a degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Hallie was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church, where she shared her faith and joy by teaching Vacation Bible School. Hallie’s faith played an important role her life and every morning, she would exchange bible verses with boyfriend, Brady Heiling. She also worked as a teaching assistant at Hawk’s Nest and had recently begun a position at Meadow Creek Assisted Living.

Hallie will be deeply missed by all who knew her, remembered for her warmth, kindness, big smile, and the light she brought into every space she entered. Her legacy will continue as a “Donor Hero” by helping more than 75 people through her gift of life.

Hallie is survived by her parents: Alyson Helgeson of Montevideo, Joseph Helgeson of Crookston; brother, Camden Helgeson of Montevideo; grandparents: Ken and Sue Luebke of Montevideo, Gary and Debby Helgeson of Crookston; uncle and aunt: Eric and Michelle Helgeson of Crookston, aunt: Megan Luebke of Denver; cousins: Elizabeth and Grace Helgeson of Crookston; many other family members and friends; and the love of her life, Brady Heiling, who joined Hallie in eternity on July 25, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her aunt: Tressa Luebke; great grandparents: Ray and Phyllis Luebke, Alois and Viola Alickson, Joseph and Frances Helgeson, and Alex and Betty Marks.
