Helen Jeannette (Hanson) Hilden

Helen Hilden, of Watson, died on Saturday, August 28, 1999 at the Chippewa Co-Montevideo Hospital at the age of 82.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 1, 1999 at 2:00 PM at Watson Lutheran Church with Rev. Larry Olson officiating.  Burial will be in the Crystal Lake Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Visitation will be Wednesday prior to services at the church.  Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Helen Jeannette (Hanson) Hilden was born on October 16, 1916 in Minneapolis, MN to Halvor and Johanna (Storebo) Hanson.  She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis North High School in 1934. She was united in marriage to Robert H. Bofferding on October 16, 1939 and following his death in 1973 she was united in marriage to Irven Hilden on September 26, 1975.  She lived in Minneapolis until moving to Watson in May of 1998.  She had been a resident of the Clara City Nursing Home for about a month.  She was a member of Norwegian Lutheran Memorial Church and its women’s groups and was a member of the Sons of Norway.

She is survived by her husband - Irven “Corky” Hilden of Watson; a daughter - Suzanne Fantle of Minneapolis, MN; a son - Robert Bofferding of St. Pete Beach, FL 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; Stepchildren - Bill Hilden of St. Cloud, MN; Mike Hilden of Richfield, MN; Julie Hilden of Shakopee, MN and Jill LaRue of Duluth, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Robert Bofferding in 1973, and by 2 sisters.
