Herbert Schacherer, of the Pleasant View Apartments in Dawson, passed away suddenly at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD, at the age of 83. Services were private.
Survivors include his sons: Larry (Darlene) of Dawson, John (Jean) of Rochester, and Michael (Kathy) of Dawson; daughters: Ruth (Ronald) VanNurden of Montevideo, Sharon Jenson of Albert Lea, Helen (John) Dotas of Lebanon, IN, Sonia Schacherer of New Ulm, Bonita (Duane) Noragon of Lincoln, NE, and Linda ('Swede') Ahrndt of Herman; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Laurence Schacherer of New London; and one sister, Kathryn Kellen of Morris.
