J. Howard Jacobson

J. Howard Jacobson, 76, of Montevideo died May 13, 1998 at the Chippewa County -  Montevideo Hospital.

Funeral services were held Monday, May 17, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church.   Rev. Timothy Lindhorst   and Rev. Alvin G. Lewis, Jr. officiated and interment was at Brono Lutheran Cemetery.

J. Howard Jacobson was born September 13, 1921 at Montevideo, MN the son of John and Helga (Berg) Jacobson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Brono Lutheran Church, graduated from school in Montevideo in 1940 and attended the Morris Ag School for one year.  He was united in marriage with Irene Janssen July 3, 1947 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo.  They lived in Rosewood Township before moving into Montevideo in 1969.  He worked as a trucker doing contract hauling.  Howard was a member of the Sons of Norway, a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and had been a Sunday School Teacher.  He enjoyed driving and playing cards.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; two sons: Steve Jacobson of Dawson, MN and Bob Jacobson and his wife Jennifer of Montevideo, MN; four grandsons: Chris, Andrew, Allen, and Sean; one sister, Agnes Polishuk of Los Angeles, CA; and one niece, Anna.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one son, Michael in infancy.
