Kevin Ellefson

Kevin Ellefson died Thursday, April 16, 2026 at his home in Dawson at the age of 62.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Kevin Mitchell Ellefson was born August 15, 1963 in Dawson, MN the son of Darrel and Linda (Waterman) Ellefson. He graduated from Dawson - Boyd High School in 1981. He worked or Larson Tiling from 1981 - 1987, AGP from 1987 - 2011, North Star Agri from 2011 - 2014, and then as a commercial bee keeper. He was united in marriage with Michelle Nelson June 16, 1984 at Grace Lutheran Church in Dawson. Kevin loved everything outdoors but especially hunting, trapping and fishing. He also liked gardening and canning.

He is survived by two children: Kaiden Ellefson of Dawson and Kyrstin (Matt Salonek) Ellefson of Marshall; his parents: Darrel (Linda) Ellefson of Dawson; two brothers: Corbin Ellefson of Alexandria and Jason (Terri) Ellefson of Webster, WI; two sisters: Shayna Duffaut of Dawson and Dawn Maiers of Dawson; and aunts and uncles.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents: Arnold (Ethel) Ellefson.
