LaVonne Pangrac, of Benson, passed away on April 11, at Scandi Haven Village in Benson at the age of 91.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Benson, with Pastor Dale Degner officiating. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will follow in the Benson City Cemetery.
LaVonne Grace Pangrac was born on July 23, 1934, in New Rockford, North Dakota, to Gladys and Kenneth Foster. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and graduated from New Rockford High School in 1952.
On December 28, 1954, LaVonne was united in marriage to the love of her life, Orlen, in New Rockford. Together, they were blessed with four children. They made their home in Benson, where LaVonne devoted herself to raising her family and caring for her children as they grew. After the kids were grown up, they moved to Arizona enjoying the warm winters. Later in life, moving back to Benson again.
LaVonne will be remembered for her love of playing the piano, gardening, and her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Gene (Lori) Pangrac, Val (John) Lloyd, Allen Pangrac, Jim (Guadalupe) Pangrac; grandchildren, Kailyne Pangrac, Keagen Pangrac, Corey Pangrac, Erin Stennis, Justine Pangrac, Samantha Pangrac, Joseph Pangrac, Travis Crane, Brenton Crane; great grandchildren, Kaiden, Brenna, Tripp, Nash, Navy, Easton, Elona, Aurther, Domnic; sibling, Janet (John) Rassmusen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Orlen; and parents, Gladys (Fossum) and Kenneth Foster; brothers John, Robert, Ivan (Marlys); and sister Shirley (Bill).
