Linda Campbell

Linda Campbell, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Willmar died on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Centra Care-Willmar Care Center at the age of 75.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo. Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.

Linda Kay Campbell was born on May 14, 1948 in Montevideo, MN to Ethan and Shirley (Haug) Wallace.  She attended high school in Atwater,MN.  Following high school she traveled with friends and ended up meeting Roy Campbell.    On January 13, 1971 she was united in marriage to Roy Campbell.  They had two children together, Christopher and Lisa.  Besides raising a family Linda  worked in various occupations.   Later in life she went back to college and received an accounting degree and eventually would work for a local grocery store in their accounting department until retirement.   Following Roy’s death she moved to Westview Apartments in Willmar.

Linda was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Willmar.  She sang in the church choir, participated in Bible Study and quilting at the church.   Linda enjoyed her time at Westview apartments and worked in the kitchen, called Bingo and worked the puzzle room.  Linda’s hobbies were quilting, embroidery, knitting and baking.  Linda’s most cherished time came when she was spending time with family.

Linda is survived by her children: Christopher (Jonni) Campbell, Fort Meyers, FL, Lisa (James) Herzberg, Willmar, MN; grandchildren: Eric (Kaleigh) Herzberg, Justin Herzberg; great-grandchildren: Madelyn and Makenna; brothers: David (Susan) Wallace, Litchfield, MN, Tim (Kathy) Wallace, Atwater, MN, Dean (Connie) Wallace, Willmar, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy, twin brother, Lee (Geraldine) Wallace and brother John Wallace.
