Milton Brophy died Friday, May 14, 2004 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN at the age of 96.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at 10:30 A.M. at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo. Rev. Donald McKee will officiate and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Cemtery.
Milton John Brophy was born March 9, 1908 in Tunsberg Township, Chippewa County, MN the son of Kelbia and Selma (Gilbertson) Brophy. He grew up in the Montevideo area and attended rural schools. Milton worked as a farmer and a carpenter. He lived in the Montevideo area until moving to Rochester, MN in 1995. Milton loved to travel and spent much of his time going from place to place.
He is survived by five nieces and nephews: Gaylon (Lana) Entgelmier of Cottage Grove, MN, Alice Bowen of Lincoln, NE, Kathy (Gene) Brandsted of Montevideo, MN, Bill Brophy of Montevideo, MN and Glenda (Gary) Edwards of Menasha, WI.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers: Orville and Lawrence Brophy; two sisters: Nancy Josephine Entgelmier and Florence Brophy; one brother-in-law, Floyd Entgelmier; one sister-in-law, Alberta Brophy; and one niece, Eileen Brophy.
