Peter Anderson

Peter Anderson died Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Prairie Park Place, in Clara City at the age of 57.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 17, 2026 at Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church of rural DeGraff, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church with Pastor Daryl Thul officiating. Interment will be at the Buffalo Lake Mission Covenant Cemetery, Murdock. 

Peter August Anderson was born March 23, 1969, in Montevideo, MN, to Ellis and Ruth (Hultquist) Anderson. He grew up on the Anderson farm, north of Clara City, and graduated from MACCRAY High School in 1988.

In his early years, Peter observed & remembered every road and stop made on road trips with his parents. He enjoyed playing ping pong, card games - his favorite being UNO, and marbles. He was very knowledgeable about genealogy knowing his entire family’s history. In his later years, Peter especially loved going to thrashing shows and auctions. Peter farmed with his father Ellis for many years and lived on the farm until he moved to Clara City in 2023.

He is survived by his Aunt Loraine Anderson, Willmar, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Ellis in 2007 and mother Ruth in 2009.
