Robert Rheingans

Robert Rheingans died Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his home near Appleton at the age of 69.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Catholic Church in Appleton.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 9 - 11:00 AM at the church.

Robert George Rheingans was born March 4, 1956 in Appleton, MN the son of George and Janette (Bonk) Rheingans. Robert was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Catholic Church. He attended school in Appleton and graduated in 1974. Attended the U of MN Morris before he was united in marriage with LuAnn Steinle August 25, 1977 at St. John's Catholic Church. They made their home in rural Appleton. He was a farmer for over 50 years. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking.

He is survived by his wife, LuAnn; a son, Jordan (Kalsey) Rheingans of St. Michael; a daughter, Kyle Anne Rheingans of Appleton; four grandchildren: Addison Rheingans, Andrew Rheingans, Thomas Rheingans, and Kaitlyn Rheingans; his mother, Janette Rheingans of Appleton; and a sister, Rebecca Rheingans of Appleton.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, George and Esther Rheingans; maternal grandparents, Joe and Edna Bonk; and his father, George Rheingans.
