Robert Paul Wilson

Robert Paul Wilson, 73, was called from this life on June 12, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota. There are no funeral arrangements at this time. Zniewski Funeral Home of Benson is assisting the family.

Robert  was born on June 13, 1952, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Carl and Edna Albrecht Wilson. He grew up in St. Paul and graduated from Harding High School. Robert was drafted into the United States Army and served our country from 1972-1978.

Robert was considered a “Jack of all trades” and worked various jobs including working as a millwright for the Railroad, a welder for Loral, and worked at the Glenwood Bakery, He owned and operated several businesses including a mobile home repair, telephone repair, a laundry mat in Benson, radio repair, and Bob’s Lock Shop. He also was afforded the opportunity to be the enterprise welding instructor in Alexandria.

Robert lived in St. Paul, Glenwood, and Garfield before moving to Benson in 2018. He met Robbyn Johnson on Facebook in 2013, and on August 18, 2015, they were united in marriage. He enjoyed fishing and watching car restoration videos on YouTube. He liked doing yardwork and tinkering in his garage. Robert loved his pet Chloe and Tax dearly. He was called from this life on June 12, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Robert is survived by his wife Robbyn Wilson of Benson; his children Heather Hernandez (Oliver Castillo) and Brian Helmbrcht (Megan Gaulke); grandchildren: Brooklyn, Nathanial, Saphire, AJ, Harley, and Rileigh; his siblings: Son Wilson (Ti), Donna Wilson, Diane Wilson, Karen Rasmussen, and Carol (Mike) Quackenbush; nieces and nephews, and several other relative and friends.
