Ronald Hadrath of Montevideo died on Saturday, May 23, 2026 at Luther Haven at the age of 85.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1-3PM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo with a memorial prayer service to begin at 3:00PM

Ronald Rae Hadrath was born at the Montevideo Hospital on October 7, 1940, to Roland and Luella (Reiten) Hadrath. Ron was baptized on January 25, 1941, and confirmed on June 5, 1955, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. He graduated from Montevideo High School in 1959.

On May 6, 1962, Ronald was united in marriage to Carol Wig at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Ron and Carol had four children: Rona, Jan, Terry, and Randy. Ron was a longtime member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo, where he volunteered as an usher and helped with funerals.

Ron drove gravel truck for Johnson Road Construction which later became Tostenson Road Construction for 18 years. In 1977, he began driving shuttle semi to Minneapolis and St. Cloud for G&K Services until he retired in 2006. After retirement he enjoyed his early morning coffee time with the guys at both County Market and The Rivers.

In his high school years, Ron was a member of the Fiesta Car Club. He had a lifetime love of stock car racing, and prior to having a family he shared driving duties of the“7 Come 11” car with Rich Christians at both Speedy Acres and Fiesta City Speedway. Above all, family was very important to Ron, and he enjoyed being a part of his children’s and grandchildren’s many school, church, and college activities.

Ron is survived by children: Rona (Dave) Bristle of Maynard, MN, Jan (Richard) Enevoldsen of Montevideo, Terry Hadrath of Eau Claire, WI, and Randy (Denise) Hadrath of Kasson, MN; eight grandchildren: Ashley (Derick) Sweno, Casey Enevoldsen, Jaimee Enevoldsen, Colten (Ashley) Bristle, Braden Bristle, Daniel Hadrath (special friend Reilly Albert), Marcus Hadrath, and Landon Hadrath; great-grandchildren: Brooke Sweno, Devin Sweno, Collin Sweno, Carson Bristle, Cecilia Bristle; as well as other extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland & Luella; his wife Carol; brothers Roy and Kerry, and niece Julia Hadrath.
