Rosalie Grace (Mandery) Braadland

Rosalie McDeid Braadland died on Sunday, August 8, 1999 at the Clarkfield Care Center at the age of 87.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 11, 1999 at 2:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. David Petrich officiating .  Interment will be in the Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon and evening at the Anderson Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Rosalie Grace Mandery was born on February 6, 1912 in northern Minnesota to Joe and Grace Mandery.  She was united in marriage to James N. McDeid on June 6, 1928 in Aitken, MN.  They did farm work throughout Minnesota until the 1940's when they moved to Montevideo.  She did maid work at motels in Montevideo for many years.  Following her husband’s death in 1974 she was united in marriage to Olaf Braadland in 1975, which lasted only a couple of months before his death.  In 1975 she moved to Granite Falls and lived there until moving to the Clarkfield Care Center in 1994.

She is survived by sons - Jim H. McDeid and his wife Virginia of Montevideo; and Tom McDeid and his wife Jean of Pinole, CA; daughters - Marjorie Syring and her husband Harold of Granite Falls, MN and Lois Bakker and her husband Bill of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands - James McDeid and Olaf Braadland; by a son - Robert McDeid; a grandchild and by 3 sisters.
