Rose Marie Laumb

Rose Laumb of Montevideo died on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at Rosewood in Montevideo at the age of 88.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 1:30PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Rose Laumb was born in Montevideo on February 12, 1933 to Edwin and Ella (Lovhaug) Anderson.  She grew up in Montevideo.  She was united in marriage to Stanley Laumb on February 15, 1951 in Watertown, SD.  They made their home in Montevideo and Watson until moving to Minneapolis in 1953.

Rose was a caretaker, of people and of her yard and garden. She was kind, compassionate, energetic and very work oriented.  She enjoyed country music and loved helping people.  Even in advanced years at Rosewood she would love to help the staff in the kitchen area with basic chores.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Timothy Laumb, Anthony (Stephanie) Gherity, Thomas Gherity; great-grandchildren: Michael Gherity, Mikayla Gherity;  numerous nieces and nephews; and daughter-in-law, Mary Laumb.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; son: Steve Laumb; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Tom Gherity; and all 16 of her brothers and sisters.
