Ruth Caroline (Erickson) Buseman

Ruth Buseman, 88, of Montevideo, died May 12, 1998 at Luther Haven Nursing Home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 16, 1998 at 10:30 A.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Rev. Timothy Lindhorst  officiated and interment was at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Ruth Caroline (Erickson) Buseman was born October 11, 1909 at Montevideo, MN the daughter of Charles and Caroline (Himley) Erickson.  She attended school and grew to adulthood there.  Ruth was united in marriage with Henry Buseman January 21, 1928 at Montevideo, MN.  They lived in Pipestone and Lake Benton before returning to Montevideo in 1937.  She worked for Swifts, Strand Grocery Store, and Vomacka’s Laundry.

She is survived by four children: Betty Allickson of Lake Elmo, MN, George Buseman, Sr. and his wife Carolyn of Vallejo, CA, William Buseman and his wife Donna of Montevideo, MN and Joanne Jorgenson and her husband Larry of Montevideo, MN; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Henry in 1968; one great-grandson; twelve brothers and sisters; and one son-in-law, Bernard Allickson.
