Sharon Amelia Lund was born on February 20, 1942, at the Clarkfield Hospital to Selmer and Clara (Enstad) Lund. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Later in life, she was confirmed in the Catholic faith at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls. She graduated from Granite Falls High School with the class of 1960.
Following graduation, Sharon married Stanley Michael Homan on August 20, 1960, at Saint Andrew Catholic Church in Granite Falls. Together, they would have celebrated 66 beautiful years of marriage on August 20, 2026. Their union was blessed with three children: Lori, Richard, and Randy.
A true farm wife in every sense of the word, Sharon was a woman of strong faith, devoted and hard-working. Stanley and Sharon spent 18 years living on their farm in Swede Prairie Township. A faithful partner through the long days and hard seasons of farm life, Stanley often referred to Sharon as his “gopher”.
Sharon was spunky, fun, warm, and loving, and everyone was welcome in her home. She and Stanley made it a priority to show up for their children and grandchildren, even during the busiest seasons of farm life. Their family always knew they could count on them, and Sharon treasured the time she spent with those she loved.
Music was a special part of Sharon’s life. She played piano at church for 32 years and shared her talent playing at the Clarkfield Care Center. She worked at the care center as well and taught Sunday school, finding many ways throughout her life to care for and serve others. Sharon was also an amazing cook and baker, and many family memories were made around her kitchen table.
Above all, Sharon will be remembered as an amazing wife, mom, grandma, and friend. She gave her family a lifetime of love, laughter, music, great food, and memories that will be cherished forever.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Stan; children, Rich (Jodi) Homan of Alexandria, Lori (Todd) Risa of Clarkfield, MN and Randy Homan Circle Pines, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer Levitz, Jamie (Chris) Terning, Steven (Anna) Risa, Ashley (Erick) Westberg, Jake (Shenae) Homan, Carli (Casey) Vangsness, Andrew Homan (Heather), Ty (Shelby) Homan, Taylor Homan (Jake), and Tianna (Jason) Hinkeldey; 21 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; sister-in-law, Rosemary Homan; and several extended family and friends.
