Shirley Norman

Shirley Norman, of Watertown, SD and formerly of Granite Falls, died Friday, May 23, 2025 at Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, SD at the age of 84.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo at 10:30 AM. Rev. Marie Eckberg will officiate and interment will be at Doncaster Cemetery, Granite Falls.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the service.

Shirley May (Hinrichs) Norman was born May 17, 1941 in Wood Lake, MN the daughter of Max and Blanche (Deinhart) Hinrichs. She attended school in Wood Lake and later married Milo Norman. He died in 1993. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and canning. Shirley loved to attend yard sales and play Facebook games. She was a lifetime member of the DAV.

She is survived by her children: Robin (Steve) Waege and Scott Peterson; grandchildren: Nick (Tammy) Rice, Travis (Miranda) Peterson, and April Peterson; great-grandchildren: Kaden, Colson, Cooper, and Kinsley Rice, Amaya and Branson Peterson; and her dog Daisy.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Milo; a brother Max Hinrichs, Jr. and his wife Jean; a nephew, Peter Hinrichs and a niece, Molly Hinrichs.
