Sig Pearson of Elmwood, WI and formerly of Montevideo, died on Thursday, June 29, 2000 at the River Falls Hospital in River Falls, WI at the age of 64.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, July 1, 2000 at 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel in Montevideo with Rev. Warren Broughton officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. Anderson Funeral Home of Montevideo is in charge of funeral arrangements.
Sigfred David Pearson was born on July 16, 1935 in Sacred Heart, MN to Sigfred and Genevieve (Johnson) Pearson. He grew up in the Montevideo area and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1954. He lived and farmed in the Montevideo area until 1981. He lived in Wisconsin, California and lived for a number of years in Jewell, IA, where he worked as a custodian in the Ames, IA School system. He retired in 1998 and was currently living in Elmwood, WI with his son - Mark. and near his daughter - Maria. He enjoyed horses and working on the farm.
He is survived by a son - Mark Pearson of Elmwood, WI; by daughters - Maria Michaels of Savage, MN and Genny Pearson of Jewell, IA; 3 grandchildren- Alyssa and Anna Michaels and Tony Pearson; and a sister - Donna Pearson of New York City, NY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister - Beata Ballard and a brother - Tony Pearson.
