Steve Eberhard, formerly of Maynard, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at the VA Home in Montevideo at the age of 80.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo. Pastor John Runyon will officiate and burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens near Montevideo.
Visitation will be at the funeral home for one hour before the service.
Steve Markus Eberhard was born April 4, 1946 in Montevideo, MN. The son of Merlin and Katherine (Ellertson) Eberhard. He attended school in Montevideo and entered the US Navy at the age of 17. He served overseas. Steve was united in marriage with Lois LeCocq August 24, 1966 in Watertown, SD. They lived in several places including: Montevideo, Raymond, Monticello, Chaska, Young America, and Marshall. They lived on a farm near Clarkfield for 20 years and moved to Maynard in 2006. Steve was a MN State Senior Driver's License Examiner for 35 years. He enjoyed collecting coins, model rail roading, fishing, hunting, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Lois; two daughters: Carmen (John) Griffis of Plainfield, IL and Melissa (Lee) Seppings of Newnan, GA; two sons: Steven (Kelly) Eberhard of St. Charles, MN and Daniel (Jennifer) Eberhard of Lamberton, MN; seventeen grandchildren: Nicole, Seth, Hannah Beth, Danielle, Will, Jacob, Hannah Grace, Anna, Jack, Andrew, Bowen, Liam, Nancy, Emma, Sarah, Matthew, and Hannah Kay; three great-grandchildren: Remi, Anthony, and Tyson.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Merlin and Katherine Eberhard; son, Anthony Eberhard; a brother, Bruce Eberhard; and a sister, Barbara Lundgren.
