Susan Carson

Susan Diane (Bergerson) Carson, 66, of Benson, went home to the Lord on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, at the Anderson TeBeest Funeral Home in Benson. A private service for family and close friends will follow, including burial at the Rolling Forks Cemetery near Glenwood.

Susan Diane Bergerson was born on April 19, 1960, in Glenwood, Minnesota, the daughter of Juwaine Gerald Sr. and Sonja Elaine (Knutson) Bergerson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Crow River Lutheran Church in Belgrade. She grew up in Belgrade and graduated from Belgrade High School. On June 6, 1981, Susan was united in marriage to Gary Joe Carson at Crow River Lutheran Church in Belgrade.

Susan worked at the Belgrade Nursing Home, Pamida, Swift Falls Mercantile and Swift Falls Bar & Grill. She dedicated her life to raising her children and being a homemaker. This included raising her son, Ryan, who was born in 1990 with special needs. Through every challenge he faced—including a leukemia diagnosis at age nine and more than three years of chemotherapy—her unwavering love and tender care carried him through, and he ultimately beat cancer. She continued to advocate for him and care for him faithfully until her passing. She was very talented and creative, she enjoyed crocheting, painting ceramics, baking, sewing, cake decorating, and gardening. She cherished time with her family and it was clear that she found her greatest joy in the moments she shared with her children and grandchildren.

She was called from this life on Monday morning, August 31, 2026, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She is survived by her children, Roxanne (Steven) Nelson of Starbuck, Angela (Chris) Kleven of Alexandria, Thomas (Kim) Carson of Hutchinson and Ryan Carson of Benson; 5 grandchildren and one on the way, and 2 nieces Arianna Bongo and Christina (Travis) Hanson, her siblings Linda Bongo (John Burns) of Wadena, Juwaine Gerald Bergerson Jr. (Mary Mitchell), of Willow, Alaska, and Greg Bergerson of Belgrade, and several relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Juwaine Sr. and Sonja, her aunt Sandra Zimmerle, and uncle Charles Bergerson. Blessed be her memory.
