Tyler (Dokk) Welton Dokkebakken, 33, a resident of Brainerd Minnesota, was taken from us too soon on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in a motorcycle accident. He was born to Jana Dokkebakken on March 23, 1993, in Fergus Falls Minnesota. He was baptized on April 10, 1993, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Tyler grew up in Fergus Falls with his mother and grandparents Welton and Diane Dokkebakken. His mother was taken from him in an automobile accident on June 30, 2007, and he then proceeded to live with his grandparents through his school years. Tyler graduated from Twin Oaks School in Fergus Falls in 2011. He connected with his father Darren Miller after he graduated high school. Tyler continued to reside in Fergus Falls, spent time traveling the country, building his career portfolio in many trades before eventually settling in Fargo, North Dakota. In 2019, Tyler reconnected with his first love Tina and moved to Bemidji, Minnestoa, to be with her and her daughter Serena. In 2021, they moved their family to Brainerd, Minnesota, where they found a great piece of land to grow their lives surrounded by the outdoors that he loved.

During his life, Tyler was a passionate man who was a loving partner and father and had the drive to reach for greatness. Some of his passions included shooting, guns, archery, hunting, fishing, biking/BMX, just about anything with an adrenaline rush, and mechanics. He loved being on his boat enjoying the beauty and quiet of the lakes, ice fishing in the winters, and being on a bike again. Tyler had a special place in his heart for his dog Max, who was his and his grandpa’s best bud for many years. He worked at AgroEcoPower for the last year and a half, where he found his calling for sales in tuning farm and construction equipment. He truly loved his work and the opportunities it gave him.

Tyler lived more in his 33 years than most people do in their entire lives. He always strived to be the best in all that he did, and he accomplished that in more ways than can ever be put into words. He was a self-made man that worked to the bone to achieve his dreams. As a song he liked would say, “They try to bend me, but I won’t break. I pay no mind to the noise they make. I keep my head, hold my ground. Ain’t no man gonna knock me down. I was built for times like this.” Tyler never backed down and protected his family and friends through thick and thin. Though he was 33 years young, his soul and outlook on life was that of them good ol’ farm boys from the 50’s. Tyler always had a smoke in his mouth and a story ready to tell. Whether you knew Tyler from childhood, from chatting for two-plus hours in a Scheels or Fleet Farm fishing aisle, or a random person he helped on the road; he sure knew how to brighten someone’s life. Tyler’s time was unfairly cut short on this earth, but the mark he left on those still here will never fade.

Preceding Tyler in death was his mother Jana, his grandparents Welton and Diane, and his dog and best friend Max. Survivors include his life partner Tina Watson and his baby girl Serena Watson at their home: father Darren (Kathy) Miller of Fargo ND, his cousins: Cody (Kim Stalemo) Dokkebakken of West Fargo ND, Jared Dokkebakken of St Cloud MN, Jordan (Mathew), Lane, and Tate Wieber of Benson MN, Brady (Mackenzie), Cameron, and Natalie Dokkebakken of Benson MN, Nathan (Ashley and Reed Tesch) Dokkebakken of Benson MN; uncles; Jamie Dokkebakken of Benson MN and Corey (Kathy) Dokkebakken of Kerkhoven M; and numerous friends and loved ones.

Memorials and services are pending at this time.

“Can't keep me down, I still stand tall. Even when my back's against the wall.                                                                    Lost some friends when times got tough, but the ones that stayed are more than enough” - Cain Walker
