Vernon Anderson

Vernon Anderson, of Dawson, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Johnson Memorial Care Center in Dawson, MN at the age of 74.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2025 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Hanson & Dahl Funeral Home in Dawson, MN.

Vernon J. Anderson was born January 6, 1951, in Sauk Rapids, MN, to Orvis and Gladys (Scheel) Anderson. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith. Vernon attended and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1969. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy. Following his honorable discharge, Vernon earned his Doctorate in Chiropractic Health Services from Northwestern Health Sciences University.

Vernon was united in marriage to Pamela Anderson on May 20, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo, MN. They made their home in Dawson, where Vernon owned and operated Chiropractic Health Center for more than 30 years. He also opened an office in Madison, MN.

Vernon enjoyed fishing and working with his hands. He gave so much to his community through both his chiropractic work and his many generous acts of service.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Pam of Dawson; sons, Matt Anderson of Montevideo and Vince (Sarah) Anderson of Norwood Young America; grandchildren, Nicolas (Betsy) Anderson, Corey (Sarah) Castell, Mason Anderson, Cameron (Madison) Anderson, Cayden Anderson, Chase Anderson, Cage Anderson, Dane Anderson and Ashyer Brustuen; brother, Steve (Robin) Anderson; sister, Connie (Ron) Nuebel; and several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Darrell Anderson.
