Wanda Kittelson died Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at Brookside Senior Living in Montevideo at the age of 91.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Rev. Donald S. McKee will officiate and interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens rural Montevideo.

Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church.

Wanda Aleatrice (Bothun) Kittelson was born June 19, 1935 in Granite Falls, MN the daughter of Edwin and Helen (Remillard) Bothun. They lived in the Hawk Creek area before moving to Montevideo where she graduated from high school in 1952. She was united in marriage with Wallace Kittelson March 19, 1955 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Montevideo. They lived in Minneapolis where she worked at Honeywell before moving to Montevideo in 1965. Wanda worked at Control Data and later at MTI before retiring in 1997.

Wanda loved baking, flowers, feeding the birds, and playing cards. She enjoyed traveling and especially spending time with her family, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

She is survived by four children: Craig (Lori) Kittelson of Sioux Falls, Scott (Tracy) Kittelson of Montevideo, Mike Kittelson of Montevideo, MN, and Mindy (Kristy Abney) Kittelson (Agaton), Dallas, TX; and five grandchildren - Katy (Dan) Murtha, Rachel (Tom) Meester, Trevor (Mandy) Kittelson, Anthony (Anastasia) Kittelson, and Lindsey Kittelson; nine great-grandchildren: Reagan, Rylee, Tucker, Tatum, Ronnie, Mackenzie, Tia, Lily, and Sebastian; a sister, Avis Peters; a brother, Rodney (Nancy) Bothun; sister-in-law, Timmy Bothun; former sister-in-law, Bev Bothun; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Wallace in 2004; a daughter, Tanya Rae Kittelson in 1973; a sister, Phyllis Billings; a brother, Wayne Bothun; and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Billings and Everett Peters.
