Anna Jane (Bratsch) Jerve was born February 26, 1925 to parents Albert and Amanda (Siebal) Bratsch.  Jane grew up in the New Ulm and Lafayette areas before moving with her family to Benson.  Jane graduated from Benson High School in 1943 and then moved to Minneapolis where she worked as a census taker and a secretary until she needed to come back home to care for her mother.  Jane met her husband, Conrad at a dance and they were united in marriage November 30, 1957.  They spent their married life farming in Chippewa County until they retired in 1974.  Jane continued to live on the farm until 2015 when after a brief illness she moved in to Appleridge apartments in Appleton.  In March of 2019 Jane moved in with her son and daughter-in-law where she was able to enjoy her love of animals and visits from the little neighbor kids.

Jane is survived by her son, Charles (Theresa) Jerve, daughter, Jolie (John) Polacek; grandchildren: Braydon, Kendrick and Kayleigh Jerve, Kendal and Kelsie Polacek; step-grandchildren: Thomas and Josh Guse; great-grandchildren: Madison and Colton Jerve; sister-in-law, Oma Fairchild; her special little neighbor friends: Teagan, Harley and Nova; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Conrad; brother, Benjamin, sister, Marie and many other relatives too numerous to mention.
