Audrey Mullen

Audrey Mullen of Montevideo died on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Luther Haven Nursing Home at the age of 92.  

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at 2PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.  Rev. Matt Danielson will officiate and burial will be in Hayden Cemetery, Madison, MN.

Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home.

Audrey Oriet (Ludvigson) Mullen was born on July 7th, 1930 to Harris and Mrytle (Sjolie) Ludvigson in Madison, MN.  Audrey was the oldest of 6 sisters with the youngest dying in infancy.  When Audrey was 12 years old her mother became sick and Audrey and sisters went to live with aunt and uncles.  Audrey went to live with her grandpa and grandma, Magnus and Aletta Sjolie.  On November 29, 1952 Audrey married John Mullen in Robbinsdale, MN.  They had 2 children together.  Audrey attended and graduated from Madison High School in 1948. She worked for Munsingwear and a bank in the Twin Cities.  Before retirement, she worked for several years for S.H. Clausen Co. which was a wholesale jewelry company.

Audrey enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, and reading the daily paper.  Her favorite flowers were moss roses and petunias.  She loved to throw “one liners” out when they fit in the conversations.  She also said “uffda” like a good Norwegian.

Audrey is survived by her son, Mike Mullen, Sartell, MN; daughter, Lisa (Steve) Sederstrom, Maynard, MN; grandchildren: Ross  Sederstrom, Maynard, MN, Blaine Sederstrom, DeLand, FL, Cody (Daisy) Mullen and their daughter, Scarlett, Rice, MN, Zach (special friend Katelyn) Mullen, Clearwater, MN; sister, Arla Mae (Herbert) Petersen, Milbank, SD, brother-in-law, Donny Beutler, Canby, MN and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Harris and Myrtle; sisters: Marilyn in infancy, Lois, Avis, and Amy.
