Cheryl Jean Augeson

Cheryl Augeson died on Friday, March 1, 2019 at her home in Marshall at the age of 65.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Anderson - TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.  Burial will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Gardens at a later date. 

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Thursday. 

Cheryl Jean Augeson was born March 18th, 1953 in Montevideo.  She was diagnosed with Down syndrome and was baptized while in the hospital.  Cheryl lived with a foster family (Clarence and Celeste Dalen) until age four, and then she was placed  in Faribault.  She was there a number of years and was fortunate to move to REM in Marshall shortly after its opening in 1973. Cheryl was happy there and had many friends.  After a few years, she was able to live in a home with three other ladies which was really nice.  They were able to go to a lot of different activities such as, bowling, shopping, going to movies, bingo and dancing.  Cheryl lived here for a number of years until REM bought a house and they moved to the south side of Marshall.  She was there until her death on March 1st.  

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne (Sarah).

She is survived by her siblings: Sally Groothius, David (Marcella) and DeWayne (Evelyn); and nieces and nephews.  

She enjoyed her family and loved coming home for holidays.  May her memory be blessed.
