Darwin Jerome Knorr

Darwin Knorr, of Montevideo, died Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Home Front First Senior Living in Montevideo at the age of 83. 

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00AM at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Montevideo.

Darwin Jerome Knorr was born on July 6, 1939 in Montevideo to Reuben Knorr and Nellie Linde.  He grew up in Montevideo and attended school, graduating from Montevideo High School.  After high school he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis for the machinist program. Darwin had a variety of talents and was willing to work at many jobs throughout his life.  He worked as a machinist, delivered furniture, worked in the movie theater and drove a city bus just to name a few.  

Darwin was also a very talented artist and would draw free hand many portraits.  He would also entertain his family and friends with his lively impersonations of famous people and movies.  Darwin enjoyed watching Western movies and TV shows and was an avid reader.  

Darwin is survived by four nieces; one nephew; his friend Barb (Virgil) Vanstrom; as well as extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Ronelda Bisgaard, Laverna Johnson, Clair Knorr, and other extended family.
