Dean Curtis Rodeberg was born August 31, 1936 in Montevideo, MN to Harry and Mabel (Wig) Rodeberg.  He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church near Montevideo.  He attended and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1954.  In Dean’s junior year of high school he began farming, and spent the rest of his life farming.  He was united in marriage to Marilyn Bue on March 22, 1958 at Granite Falls Lutheran Church.  To this unity four children were born.

Dean was a lifelong member at Saron Lutheran Church where he served on the church council for many years.  He also was on the Farmers Co-op Elevator board of directors. Dean enjoyed traveling to Arizona with his wife Marilyn and continued to do so after her passing in 2004.  He made many friends in Arizona and even was given the nickname Dancing Dean, due to his love for line dancing.  In his spare time Dean loved to golf, line dance, participate in yoga, play cards, watching professional sports and spending time with his grandchildren and attending their events.

He is survived by his children, Lori (Peter) Mezyk of Chicago, IL; Beth Rodeberg (special friend Brian Gudding) of Bloomington, MN and Todd (Marcia) Rodeberg of Eau Claire, WI; daughter-in-law, Emily Rodeberg of Montevideo, MN; 4 grandchildren, Trent Rodeberg, Elizabeth Mezyk, Allison Rodeberg and Adam Rodeberg; and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by parents; wife, Marilyn; son, Lee Rodeberg; and brothers, Robert and Dick Rodeberg.
