Delores A. (Behrens) Erickson was born in Shible Township on June 18, 1927 to William and Minnie (Peters) Behrens.  She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Shible Township, Appleton, MN.  On November 25, 1948 she was united in marriage to Charles Erickson.  Together they raised five children.

Delores spent her time working as a dietary aide at Luther Haven, working at Wal-Mart, and also as treasurer for the Lac qui Parle Conference for many years.   She was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Baxter where she was active in WELCA, the choir, and Ladies Aid.  Delores was also active in the Watson Lions Club, and was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellow award for dedicated humanitarian service from Lions Club International in February of 2012.  She found joy making lefse, quilting, sewing, embroidering, and solving cryptoquips.  She also enjoyed puzzles, reading, playing Bingo, dancing, and watching sports, especially high school sports where she could watch her grandchildren. Delores adored her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Remembered as kind, caring, and honest, she will be dearly missed by all.

Delores is survived by her children: Gail (Lloyd) Olson of Mission, TX, Wayne (Karen) Erickson of Montevideo, Barb (Rod) Pederson of Montevideo, Dick (Lori) Erickson of Dawson, and Brenda (Butch) Berends of Montevideo; 12 grandchildren: Michael Olson, Cory Olson, Aaron Erickson, Mikaela Erickson, Brad (Amy) Pederson, Brent (Amanda) Pederson, Ross (Carissa) Pederson, Krista (Dan) Gurgel, Rochelle (Jim) Anderson, Tyler Erickson, Tracy (Brandon) Maher, and Troy Berends and special friend, Lexi Gallagher; 20 great-grandchildren: Grant and Katelynn Olson, Dalton, Mason, Addisyn, Ali, Brooklyn, Emersyn, and Gage Pederson, Micah, Marissa, and Madison Gurgel, Lucas, Samantha, and Maci Anderson, Reese, Briggs, and Case Maher, and Brody and Kaiden Berends; one great-great grandchild, Gunnar Olson-Moen; sisters-in-law: Mildred Lanes, Alice Wehrkamp, and Marian (Orgean) Storlien; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2016; her parents; a grandson, Kyle Erickson; seven brothers; and three sisters.
