Deloris (Rikke) Fierstine-Breske

Deloris Fierstine-Breske, formerly of Montevideo died on Sunday July 4, 2021 at Shepherd of Grace Senior Living in Becker, Minnesota at the age of 94.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo.

Deloris Venetta Fierstine-Breske (Rikke) was born on August 16, 1926 on a farm in Yellow Medicine County five miles southwest of Clarkfield to Oliver and Mabel (Ahlen) Rikke.  She was the second oldest of five children, one brother and three sisters .Deloris married John M. Fierstine and they were married for over 50 years.  They raised 4 boys together, Larry, Gary, Terry and Richard.  John passed away in 1996 and Deloris then married John Breske in 1997.  

Deloris was a lifelong resident of Minnesota and lived in several locations in Minnesota including Montevideo until 1989.  Deloris worked for many years for Thermal Serve (Dart industries later ITW) in Anoka, MN.  During the early days of retirement, while living in Montevideo her and her first husband John, snowbirded to Apache Junction, AZ for a few years until relocating to Big Lake, MN.  She remained in that area and was a resident of Shepherds of Grace senior living in Becker, MN.

Deloris is survived by her sons: Larry (Gudrun) of Las Cruces, NM, Gary of Grantsburg, WI; grandchildren: Duane (Melanie), Moorhead, MN, Chad (Felisha), Anoka, MN; great-grandchildren: Christopher, Madison, Emmie, Olivia and August; sisters: Dorothy Pearson, Madison, MN, June (Tom) Holen, Montevideo; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Fierstine in 1996, John Breske in 2007; sons: Terry in 1973, Richard in 2016; siblings Walter Rikke and Phyllis Pearson.
