Doris Lange

Doris Lange of Montevideo died Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Brookside Senior Living in Montevideo at the age of 101.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at United Methodist Church in Montevideo with Pastor Sam Kautz officiating.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 5 to 7 PM at Anderson-TeBeest Funeral Home in Montevideo and will continue on Saturday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Doris was born Feb 20,1920, the daughter of Joseph and Alice Lindecker. She grew up and attended school in the Montevideo area and graduated from the Montevideo High School in 1939. On July 20, 1941 Doris was united in marriage to Virgil Lange. They had two children and lived in the Montevideo area their entire lives. Doris worked at the HiWay Cafe and later at the Hotel Hunt until her retirement. 

She was an active member of the United Methodist Church and the Flying Geese Quilt Club. Many enjoyed her beautiful quilts! Doris enjoyed the outdoors, trips to northern MN and visiting her husbands many relatives. She had a large garden each year and shared the produce with friends. Doris always had the coffee pot turn on and special baked treats ready for anyone who stopped to see her. For several years she provided home made fresh doughnuts for the Brookside residents. 

Doris is survived by her daughter, Sandra Nash (and Douglas) of Chesterfield, MO; two grandchildren, Scott Nash (and Joel deGuzman) of Minneapolis, Rochelle Carey (and Chris) of O'Fallon, MO; and three great grandchildren.

 Preceding Doris in death were her parents, brothers James and George, husband Virgil, infant son, Larry and infant grandson, Eric.
